OXFORD, NC—Jack Dixon of Oxford struck it big with a $1 Cash 5 lottery ticket, winning a jackpot of $487,750 this Monday night. Opting for a Quick Pick ticket through Online Play, Dixon defied the odds of 1 in 962,598 to match all five white balls perfectly.

He claimed his prize at lottery headquarters on Tuesday, and after the necessary federal and state tax withholdings, Dixon walked away with $348,743.

Cash 5 is one of the six lottery games offered in North Carolina that allows players to purchase tickets either at a retail location or online through the lottery’s website or its official mobile app. The jackpot for Tuesday’s draw stands at $100,000.
