NYC Bus Driver Attacked in the Bronx

NEW YORK, NY — The New York City Police Department is requesting the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with an assault that occurred within the 44 Precinct.

The incident took place on Thursday at approximately 6:40 a.m. A 40-year-old male was on an MTA bus when an unknown individual boarded, brandished a large knife, and stabbed the victim in the right forearm. The suspect fled northbound on foot along Ogden Avenue.

The victim was transported by EMS to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln for treatment of his injuries.

The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion and slim build, approximately 5′ 9″ tall and weighing around 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red t-shirt, red hat, blue jeans, and black and red sneakers.
