Fugitive Wanted for Attempted Murder and Armed Robbery Arrested in Rockville

Rockville, MD – The Rockville City Police Department (RCPD) arrested a suspect linked to a robbery that occurred last month and discovered his involvement in more serious crimes.

On June 12, RCPD responded to a robbery report near East Montgomery Ave. and Monroe St. A female victim had been assaulted, and some of her property was taken by force. Patrol officers located a juvenile suspect, who was charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, and theft. An additional suspect remained at large.

On July 5 at 12:30 p.m., RCPD detectives observed a suspected robbery in the same area. Upon intervention, they recognized one of the parties as Tajaun Curtis Grier, 20, of Hyattsville, the outstanding suspect from the June 12 incident. Grier was arrested and charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, and theft in connection to the June 12 crime.

Further investigation revealed Grier was also wanted by the Prince Georges County Police Department for attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, and multiple handgun violations. He was transported to the central processing unit, where he is awaiting a bail hearing.
