Multiple Dogs Found Dead Inside Abandoned U-Haul Truck

BOSTON, MA – The Boston Police Department is seeking the public’s help in an investigation into an animal abuse incident in Mattapan. On July 9, 2024, at approximately 8:58 p.m., officers from District E-18 (Hyde Park) discovered three deceased dogs inside an abandoned U-Haul truck at 69 Edgewater Drive.

The BPD is actively reviewing the circumstances surrounding this incident and urges anyone with information to contact District E-18 Detectives at (617) 343-5607.

Community members who wish to provide information anonymously can call the CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1 (800) 494-TIPS or text ‘TIP’ to CRIME (27463). The Boston Police Department assures that the identities of those who assist in this investigation anonymously will be protected.
