NYC Hatzolah Vehicle Torched, Police Say Arson Was Fueled by Anti-Jewish Hate

NEW YORK, NY – On Saturday at around 11:00 PM, an emergency vehicle belonging to Hatzalah was intentionally set on fire while parked in front of 557 Grand Street. The suspect, described as a slim male with a light complexion, was seen fleeing the scene after starting the fire.

The individual was last spotted wearing a blue shirt, gray shorts, and white sneakers. Due to the nature of the target, the NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force has taken up the investigation, treating it as a potential hate crime. No injuries were reported, but the vehicle sustained significant damage. Authorities are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation.

Hatzolah is an Orthodox Jewish based medical services organization that operates worldwide.
