PARSONSBURG, MD—Maryland State Police have arrested Jonah Brook Cramer, 45, in connection with the murder of a woman in Wicomico County. The arrest occurred after the woman’s body was found last night at a residence on Longridge Road in Parsonsburg. Cramer is facing charges of first- and second-degree murder and assault and is currently held without bond at the Wicomico County Detention Center.

The identity of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of her death, remain under investigation pending autopsy results. Authorities have yet to determine a motive for the killing.

The case unfolded when Maryland State Police responded to a 911 call from a neighbor reporting an assault shortly before 8:50 PM yesterday. Upon arrival, troopers made contact with Cramer and subsequently identified him as the suspect. A search of the property led to the discovery of the victim’s body, partially submerged in a shallow grave behind the home.

The investigation is ongoing, with Maryland State Police crime scene technicians processing the scene and homicide investigators working alongside the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office and State’s Attorney’s Office to gather evidence and interview witnesses.
