Man Stabbed in Neck on Flushing Avenue

BROOKLYN, NY — A violent altercation occurred on the evening of Monday, July 1, 2024, leaving a 20-year-old male victim with a neck laceration. The incident took place around 8:35 PM, in the vicinity of Wyckoff Avenue and Flushing Avenue in Brooklyn.

According to police reports, the victim was entering his apartment building when an unidentified assailant approached and stabbed him in the neck with a sharp object. The attacker then fled the scene heading southbound on Wyckoff Avenue towards Jefferson Street.

Emergency Medical Services responded promptly, transporting the victim to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center where he was reported to be in stable condition. The motive for the attack is currently unclear, and the suspect remains at large.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about this incident to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation. This incident raises concerns about safety in the area, particularly around residential buildings and public streets.
