Cumberland Man Charged with Assault Following Dispute

CUMBERLAND, MD – On Saturday evening, Cumberland Police detained 65-year-old Richard Franklin Crowe Sr after responding to an assault complaint on Grand Avenue at around 6:00 PM.

The victim accused Crowe Sr of assaulting them subsequent to an argument. Police, upon investigating, confirmed signs of the assault. Crowe Sr acknowledged an altercation had occurred. He now faces charges of second-degree child abuse and assault. After his arrest, a District Court Commissioner released him on an unsecured $5,000 bond.
