Three Arrested for Stolen Vehicle in Egg Harbor

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ—The Egg Harbor Township Police Department announced the arrest of three individuals following the recovery of a stolen motor vehicle. The arrests occurred early Monday morning after the vehicle was spotted being driven erratically by Officer Joe Ricevuto.

The incident began on Saturday, July 13, when a complainant reported a gray vehicle speeding dangerously in the Walmart shopping center parking lot near Petco. This vehicle, later identified as stolen from Pleasantville, narrowly missed hitting a pedestrian and her son.

In the early hours of Monday, July 15, Officer Ricevuto observed the same vehicle on English Creek Avenue. After verifying the vehicle as stolen, he conducted a high-risk stop with the support of other patrol units. Devon Blackwell, 19, from Absecon; Elijah Rollins, 18, from Egg Harbor Township; and Naimah Santiago, 21, from Galloway were arrested at the scene. Charges of receiving stolen property were filed against all three individuals.

Additionally, unregulated cannabis was found in the vehicle, leading to potential additional charges. While Rollins and Santiago were released on a summons, Blackwell was detained on a warrant and is currently held at the Atlantic County Justice Facility. The investigation remains active as further charges related to the incidents are pending.
