Trump Selects Senator J.D. Vance as Vice Presidential Candidate

Donald J. Trump has announced his choice of Ohio Senator J.D. Vance as his running mate for the Vice Presidency of the United States. The announcement came after considerable deliberation, highlighting Vance’s varied achievements and deep-rooted connections to the Midwest.

Vance, known for his background as a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and his academic achievements, including graduating Summa Cum Laude from Ohio State University in just two years and later attending Yale Law School. At Yale, he was an editor of the Yale Law Journal and president of the Yale Law Veterans Association. His memoir, “Hillbilly Elegy,” which outlines the struggles of America’s working class, became a bestseller and was adapted into a film.

Trump praised Vance’s dedication to American workers and farmers and emphasized his successful career in technology and finance. As part of the campaign, Vance is expected to focus on key states like Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, and Minnesota, aiming to resonate with the American workforce that he has long advocated for.

Vance was nominated by the RNC convention moments ago.
