Yonkers Police Arrest Oil Thief on Central Park Avenue

YONKERS, NY – Yonkers Police arrested a 36-year-old New York City resident after he was caught stealing oil from businesses along Central Park Avenue, a busy commercial area. The incident, which occurred yesterday, involved officers from the 1st Precinct who noticed the man acting suspiciously behind the businesses.

Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the individual also had an outstanding warrant from Warwick related to a similar offense. The Yonkers Police Department highlighted the arrest on their social media, stressing that oil theft not only is illegal but also harms local businesses by potentially driving up prices for consumers.
