State Vows to Revoke License of Teacher Who Openly Endorsed Trump Assassination

Ardmore – At least one teacher won’t be coming back to class for the 2024 school year after making a post wishing for the death of former President Donald J. Trump

An Ardmore teacher is at the center of controversy after a social media post wishing harm upon former President Donald Trump surfaced. Chaya Raichik’s Libs of TikTok account shared a screenshot from what appears to be a Facebook conversation involving Alison Scott, a teacher in the Ardmore school district.

Her post was first brought to light by the X.com user, Libs of TikTok.

In the post, Scott seemingly expresses regret that an assassination attempt on Trump was unsuccessful. “Meet Alison Scott, a teacher at @Ardmore_Tigers. She appears sad the shooter missed and ‘wishes’ he had a better scope,” Raichik tweeted. The post has ignited significant backlash, highlighting concerns over the content educators share online.

The screenshot included in the tweet shows a troubling exchange where an individual offers $500 to the would-be assassin “for trying to save us…” To which Scott reportedly responds, “Same!!! Wish they had a better scope.”

Oklahoma Superintendent Ryan Walters said his office launched an investigation into Scott’s posts and has announced he will be revoking her teaching certificate.
