Boy Hospitalized Following D.C. Shooting

WASHINGTON, DC—A shooting in Southeast D.C. has left a juvenile injured, prompting an investigation by the D.C. Metro Police Department. The incident occurred shortly after 5:45 p.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of Barnaby Street.

Upon their arrival, police discovered a boy with gunshot wounds. He was conscious and breathing and was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Details regarding the motive or circumstances leading to the shooting have not been disclosed, and no suspect has been identified as of yet.
