Delaware State Police Investigate Bank Robbery in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, DE – The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a bank robbery that took place at the WSFS Bank located at 4601 Kirkwood Highway in Wilmington. The incident occurred yesterday afternoon, July 16, 2024, around 2:51 p.m.

According to the initial investigation, an unidentified white male suspect entered the bank and handed a demand note to a teller. After the teller complied, the suspect fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed sum of money. Despite immediate efforts to locate the suspect in the surrounding area, he remains at large.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black mask. Details regarding his other physical attributes or clothing have not been provided as surveillance images and video footage from the robbery have not yet been released. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.
