Middle River Man Arrested for Road Rage Incident

MIDDLE RIVER, MD – A Middle River man, Jason Catanzariti, 53, was arrested by Maryland State Police following a road rage incident on northbound I-95 at I-695. The incident occurred on Thursday and led to Catanzariti being charged with felony assault and other related offenses.

The altercation involved Catanzariti allegedly pointing a handgun at another motorist, who promptly reported the incident to police. The vehicle, described as a gray Subaru with Maryland plates, was soon spotted by authorities.

Troopers located Catanzariti at his residence in Middle River at 8:30 PM and also recovered a loaded firearm believed to have been used during the altercation. He was arrested without incident and is now held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

The Baltimore County State’s Attorney’s Office has charged Catanzariti with the use of a gun in commission of a felony. He faces a mandatory minimum of five years in prison if convicted.

The Maryland Department of State Police emphasized their commitment to enhancing highway safety and reducing gun violence, urging motorists to practice safe driving habits.
