Suspect Arrested in Philadelphia Pizza Shop Shooting

PHILADELPHIA, PA — A shooting inside a pizza shop in Philadelphia’s 35th District has resulted in one injury and an arrest. The incident occurred at approximately 7:18 PM at a location on the 4900 block of Rising Sun Avenue.

A 23-year-old male was shot once in the left knee and was quickly transported to Temple Hospital by Medic 45. He is currently in stable condition. Authorities secured the scene and have taken a male suspect into custody; a firearm was also recovered at the location.

The police are continuing their investigation and will provide updates once the charging process for the suspect is complete.
