Man Dead in D.C. Shooting

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Authorities are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in Northwest D.C. on Thursday.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 2000 block of Bryant Street in Northeast, D.C., at approximately 3:30 p.m. Upon arrival, they found 26-year-old Hassan Kamara Jr. of Takoma Park, Maryland, who had been shot. Kamara was transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
