SILVER SPRING, MD — John Doe of Silver Spring, a dedicated Maryland Lottery player since its inception, recently won a $30,000 Mega Millions prize. The Montgomery County resident plans to spend his winnings on a European cruise with his wife.

John enjoys a variety of lottery games, including scratch-offs, Keno, Racetrax, Mega Millions, and Powerball. He purchased his winning ticket from Old World Favorites at 3854 International Drive. He opted for the Megaplier feature, which tripled his $10,000 third-tier prize from the June 14 drawing.

The win surprised John and his wife, who were nearly speechless after checking their ticket. They discovered they were just one number shy of a $3 million second-tier prize.

Reflecting on his win, John stated, “We were fortunate enough to win anything, and I’m grateful for that.” He plans to continue playing, motivated by how close he came to an even bigger prize. “It’s fun!” he added.
