Tennessee Man Faces Multiple Charges in North Jersey Child Sexual Assault Case

DOVER, NJ— Police have charged Rony Oviedo-Buezo, a 32-year-old man from Nashville, Tennessee, with severe criminal offenses including Aggravated Sexual Assault and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

The charges stem from alleged incidents in Dover, where Oviedo-Buezo is accused of engaging in multiple sexual acts with a female child. Details of the case are limited as the investigation remains active, with authorities withholding further information at this time.

Oviedo-Buezo faces two counts of first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault, one count of second-degree Attempted Aggravated Sexual Assault, one count of second-degree Sexual Assault, and two counts of second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He was arrested in Tennessee and extradited to New Jersey, where he is currently detained at the Morris County Correctional Facility pending trial.

The investigation has involved several law enforcement agencies, including the Dover Police Department, Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, highlighting the collaborative effort across state lines to address the charges.
