HOLMDEL, NJ — In response to the alarming increase in traffic-related fatalities in New Jersey, Holmdel Township Police Department has announced a new enforcement initiative, Goal

. This county-wide high visibility campaign is set to take place on Thursday, July 25, 2024, from 3 PM to 7 PM, specifically targeting Hwy 34 in Holmdel.

The campaign aims to address the rising number of traffic deaths, which has significantly increased by 16.2% in Monmouth County compared to the same period last year. New Jersey has experienced 344 traffic-related fatalities this year, with 29 occurring in Monmouth County alone.

Law enforcement agencies across Monmouth County are uniting to foster a safer traffic environment and promote changes in driving behaviors to reduce these troubling statistics. The upcoming enforcement detail is part of a broader effort to enhance road safety and preserve lives in the community.
