NYPD Seeks Public Help to Identify Suspect in Hate Crime Incident

The New York City Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a criminal mischief case considered a hate crime. The incident occurred early in the morning on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at about 12:03 AM, at a synagogue located at 10 East 66th Street, within the 19th Precinct.

According to reports, an unidentified individual defaced the synagogue steps by drawing a red eye, an act that has prompted an investigation by the NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force. Following the act of vandalism, the individual fled the scene on foot to an unknown location.

The NYPD has released media related to the incident and is urging anyone with information about the identity or whereabouts of the suspect to come forward. The public can contribute any tips or relevant information to help resolve this case and assist the ongoing investigation by the Hate Crime Task Force.
