Public Assistance Requested in Identifying Suspect in Philadelphia Robbery and Shooting

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Police Department, along with the Shooting Investigation Group, is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a recent robbery and shooting incident. The attack occurred on July 12th, 2024, inside a convenience store located on the 3100 block of Kensington Avenue.

The incident escalated when a 31-year-old male victim was robbed at gunpoint and subsequently shot in the neck after confronting the suspect outside the store. The victim is currently in critical condition. Following the altercation, the suspect was seen fleeing the scene on a blue and silver Trek mountain bike.

Authorities have provided a description of the suspect: a Black male, wearing a black mask, a black hooded sweatshirt with short or cut off sleeves featuring white splotches and a large white graphic with the word “BIG” on the upper-right chest, black pants, shoes, and a large black backpack with multiple compartments.

The Philadelphia Police Department urges anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity or whereabouts to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.
