Police Officer Assaulted During D.C. Protests

Washington, D.C. — Authorities are seeking public assistance in identifying a man who assaulted a police officer in Northeast D.C.

On Wednesday at approximately 3:08 p.m., the suspect threw an object at an officer in the Unit block of Massachusetts Avenue, Northeast, during a demonstration. The object struck the officer, and the suspect fled the scene.

The incident was captured on camera.
