West Deer Township Man Arrested in Connection with Frazer Township Shooting

FRAZER TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Allegheny County Police have arrested a man from West Deer Township in connection with a shooting that occurred in Frazer Township on July 17.

At approximately 4:44 p.m., Frazer Township Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Clarks Pike Road following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, first responders found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition.

Shortly after the initial dispatch, at 4:49 p.m., West Deer Police responded to the 100 block of Creighton Russellton Road after receiving reports of a male suspect contacting 9-1-1 to admit his involvement in the shooting. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.

Frazer Township Police requested assistance from the Allegheny County Police Department’s General Investigations Unit. Detectives have since initiated a comprehensive investigation into the incident.
