Arrest Made in Dumfries Fatal Hit & Run Case

DUMFRIES, VA—A significant breakthrough has occurred in the investigation of a fatal hit and run incident that took place on July 20 at the Oasis at Montclair Apartment complex. Keith Anthony McBride, 41, from Manassas, was arrested on Thursday by the Virginia Beach City police.

The tragic incident, which occurred in the parking lot located in the 16400 block of Stedham Circle, involved McBride allegedly attempting to steal Jose Vasquez Galvan’s vehicle. During the theft, Galvan, a 37-year-old resident of Dumfries, was fatally struck. There is reportedly no known connection between McBride and Galvan.

McBride faces charges of felony murder, felony hit and run, and grand larceny auto. He is currently being held in custody, with a court date pending. Authorities have confirmed that no other suspects are being sought in this case. The arrest marks a significant development in an investigation that has gripped the local community.
