Elderly Man Assaulted and Robbed on White Plains Road

BRONX, NY—A 62-year-old man was assaulted and robbed on Thursday afternoon opposite 2865 White Plains Road, resulting in injuries that required hospital care. The incident occurred at approximately 4:15 PM when two unidentified men engaged in a verbal dispute with the victim before physically attacking him.

The assailants punched the victim in the face, causing a laceration to his lip, and forcibly removed his glasses. Following the attack, the individuals fled the scene on foot, heading westbound on Arnow Avenue. The victim was subsequently transported by EMS to Montefiore Medical Center Wakefield Campus, where he was listed in stable condition.

Descriptions of the suspects have been provided as follows:

  • The first individual is a male with a medium complexion, beard, slim build, and tattoos on his right arm. He was observed wearing a gray baseball cap, a white tank top, gray sweatpants, and white and gray sneakers.
  • The second suspect is also a male with a medium complexion, sporting glasses and dreadlocks. He was dressed in a white baseball cap, a white t-shirt, gray jeans, and black sneakers.

The New York City Police Department is actively seeking these individuals and asks anyone with information to come forward to assist in the investigation.
