Man Injured in Violent Brooklyn Robbery

BROOKLYN, NY — A robbery attempt early Friday morning left a 33-year-old man injured in Brooklyn.

At approximately 4:00 AM, the victim was in front of 574 Marcy Avenue when an unknown individual approached him, demanded his property, and punched him multiple times while attempting to take his backpack. The assailant fled eastbound on Myrtle Avenue.

The victim was transported by EMS to NYC Health and Hospitals/Woodhull in stable condition, suffering from multiple lacerations.

Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact the NYPD.
