NYPD School Safety Agent Arrested on Larceny Charges

NEW YORK, NY — An off-duty New York City employee was arrested and charged in the 7th Precinct on Friday.

Sylvia Brown, a 54-year-old NYPD School Safety Agent, was taken into custody at 11:57 AM. Brown faces charges of petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.

Further details regarding the incident were not disclosed by authorities. The NYPD has yet to release an official statement regarding the arrest.
