Teen Critically Injured in Pittsburgh Shooting

PITTSBURGH — A 17-year-old was shot in Pittsburgh early Thursday morning.

Allegheny County 911 reported that police and EMS units were dispatched to the 3100 block of Ashlyn Street at 6:44 a.m. The incident occurred just outside Sheraden Park, where police officers were seen securing the area.

The teen victim was transported to the hospital in critical but stable condition, according to officials. A gun was recovered at the scene, adding a key piece of evidence to the ongoing investigation.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
