Juvenile Arrested for Commercial Burglary in Utica

UTICA, NY—A juvenile suspect was arrested in connection with a burglary that occurred last month at a commercial property in Utica. The Utica Police Department responded to a break-in at 904 Eagle St. on June 13, where it was discovered that an individual had shattered glass to gain entry and subsequently stole cash and other items.

During the investigation, police identified a 17-year-old suspect involved in the incident. The Juvenile Aid Unit was tasked with the investigation due to the suspect’s age.

On Friday, July 26, the Crime Prevention Unit located and apprehended the juvenile. He has been charged with burglary in the third degree, criminal mischief in the third degree, and petit larceny. The case continues to develop as the juvenile faces these charges.
