NYC Cop Arrested in the Bronx for Incident With Child

Bronx, NY – On Sunday, a New York City Police Officer was arrested and charged within the 43rd Precinct.

Imran Iqbal, a 35-year-old off-duty NYPD officer, was taken into custody on Sunday, July 28, at 9:16 PM. Iqbal, who has been with the police force since October 2022 and currently serves at Police Service Area 7, faces multiple charges, including Acting in a Manner Injurious to a Child, Assault in the Third Degree, and Criminal Mischief.

Iqbal, badge 23791, has been with Police Service Area 7 since April 2023. He earned $31,200 last year and has no previous incidents reported in his service record.

The charges and circumstances surrounding the arrest are currently under investigation.
