Arrest Made in Haverstraw Homicide Case

HAVERSTRAW, NY – In a significant development in a local homicide case, Haverstraw Police Department, together with several federal agencies, has successfully apprehended a suspect involved in a July 1, murder on West Street in the Village of Haverstraw.

Yandie Martinez was arrested earlier today at 1:20 PM in Piedmont, South Carolina.

The arrest was the result of a cooperative effort involving the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Apprehension Special Investigations Team, the FBI-Westchester Safe Streets Task Force, and the FBI-Columbia Division. District Attorney Tom Walsh and Haverstraw Police Chief John Gould announced the breakthrough at a press conference, highlighting the collaborative work between local and federal law enforcement agencies.
