Man Shot Multiple Times Dead in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – An early Monday shooting in Northeast has led to a homicide investigation by the D.C. Metro Police Department.

At around 2:46 a.m., police were called to the 3500 block of Ames Street, where they discovered 29-year-old Phillip Williams, an adult male with no fixed address, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Williams was found unconscious and not breathing and was declared deceased at the scene.

The D.C. Metro Police urge anyone with information regarding this incident to contact them at (202) 727-9099 or send a text to the department’s tip line at 50411. The department is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for details that lead to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator(s) responsible for this or any other homicide in the District.
