Man Sought for Subway Groping

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is reaching out for public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a forcible touching incident that took place within the 43rd Precinct.

Authorities are actively searching for the individual who is linked to the unsettling encounter that occurred on the morning of Tuesday, June 4, 2024.

According to police reports, at approximately 8:55 AM, a 34-year-old female was walking when she was approached from behind by an unknown male. The suspect forcibly grabbed her buttocks and then promptly fled the scene on foot. He was last seen heading westbound on Lafayette Avenue toward Castle Hill Avenue.

The NYPD has released media depicting the suspect and is urging anyone with information about the incident or the individual’s whereabouts to come forward.
