Three Thirteen-Year-Olds Flee New Jersey Cops in Stolen Car

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – The Atlantic City Police Department announced the arrest of three 13-year-old males following the recovery of a stolen vehicle.

The incident occurred late on July 28 when Officers Alex Torres and Michael Regalbuto spotted the stolen Kia Sportage on Maryland Avenue near Absecon Boulevard.

The vehicle, reported stolen on July 25 from the 500 block of Delaware Avenue, was still in motion when the young suspects abandoned it, leading to it rolling into a curb and a street sign.

Officer Justice Martin along with other responding officers apprehended the juveniles shortly after their attempt to flee.

The teenagers, all from Atlantic City, face charges including burglary, criminal mischief, receiving stolen property, and obstruction of justice.

They were released into the custody of their guardians, who were issued summonses for allowing their children to be unsupervised past curfew.
