The Myrtle Beach Police Department expressed gratitude towards the U.S. Marshals Service and the Lynchburg Police Department for their partnership in this operation.

The related Myrtle Beach warrants were linked to an incident on April 8, 2024, where police responded to a reported Aggravated Assault on Pachino Drive around 11:22 p.m., which resulted in a victim sustaining non-life-threatening injuries from a gunshot.

Both Pollard and Austin are scheduled to be extradited to face their charges at a later date.
