One Akron Murder Suspect Arrested, Second Still At Large

AKRON, OH—A shooting on July 28th has resulted in the death of 24-year-old Paige Calich and prompted a swift response from local law enforcement. Akron Police Department reports that officers arrived at 14 Socrates Place around 12:26 AM to find Calich suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso. She was quickly transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Following investigative efforts and community tips, police have arrested 25-year-old Corvette Pope in connection with Calich’s death.

Additionally, Akron Police have issued warrants for 19-year-old Denzel Pope, charging him with Aggravated Murder. Denzel Pope is currently at large and should be considered armed and dangerous.

The Akron Police continue to follow up on all leads and urge anyone with information about Denzel Pope’s whereabouts to contact them immediately.
