Terroristic Threats at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre

WILKES-BARRE, PA – A man faces charges following an incident involving terroristic threats at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre hospital on Tuesday.

The event took place on July 31, at 12:32 PM, when Wilkes-Barre City Police were called to the hospital. Staff reported a male, identified as 23-year-old Jeffery Alberto of Wilkes-Barre, who initially entered the hospital to charge his phone. Alberto then attempted to access several secure areas and was subsequently asked to leave.

Upon being escorted out, Alberto reportedly threatened physical violence against a staff member and made threats to shoot him. He fled the scene before police arrived. Officers later identified Alberto and filed charges related to the threats. The investigation is ongoing.
