Police Investigate Fatal Shooting in Bronx

Bronx, NY – On Friday, at approximately 6:31 PM, police responded to a 911 call reporting an assault in progress in front of 1600 Sedgwick Avenue, within the 46 Precinct. Upon arrival, officers discovered Miguel Cruz, a 47-year-old male, with a gunshot wound to the head.

Emergency Medical Services transported Cruz to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. Cruz resided at 2300 Bronx Park East.

There have been no arrests, and the investigation remains ongoing.
