D.C. Man Identified as Gunman in Rockville Murder

ROCKVILLE, MD – The Rockville City Police Department, along with Montgomery County Fire Rescue Services, were called to a shooting incident in the 400 block of College Parkway on Wednesday. Upon arrival shortly before 4:30 p.m., responders found an adult male with a gunshot wound to the abdomen outside a residence.

The victim was quickly transported to a nearby hospital and was initially in critical condition. He has since been stabilized but remains hospitalized.

Investigators have identified the suspect as 33-year-old Isaiah Warren Simpson from Washington D.C., who is prohibited from possessing firearms. An arrest warrant has been issued for Simpson on multiple charges, including Attempted Second Degree Murder and Illegal Possession of a Firearm. The Rockville City Police Department urges anyone with information about Simpson’s whereabouts to come forward.
