CRANFORD, NJ—Lincoln Avenue is closed between Mansion Terrace and Stratford Terrace following a transformer issue. The incident, which occurred at approximately 8:05 p.m. EDT on Sunday, also led to the failure of traffic lights at key intersections, including Centennial and Walnut Avenues with Lincoln Avenue, and South Avenue with Centennial Avenue.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution while traveling in the affected areas and to prepare for potential delays. The disruption has impacted the traffic flow significantly in the southeast quadrant of the township.

Authorities have reported a widespread power outage associated with this incident. Residents are urged to reserve the use of 9-1-1 for emergencies only to keep lines open for urgent communications.
