Man Hugged by Mysterious Woman on NYC Street as She Stealthily Robbed Him

QUEENS, NY—The New York City Police Department is appealing to the public for assistance in locating a suspect linked to a robbery in the 115 Precinct.

The incident occurred early on Saturday near 87TH Street and Roosevelt Avenue. At approximately 3:35 AM, the suspect engaged a 39-year-old man in conversation, then hugged him and stealthily removed about $850 from his pants pocket.

When the victim attempted to retrieve his money, the suspect brandished a knife and escaped on foot heading west on Roosevelt Avenue. Thankfully, no injuries were reported during the incident.

The suspect is described as a female with a medium complexion, last seen wearing a black hat and a blue long-sleeved dress. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward to help in apprehending the individual responsible.
