Search for Suspect in Assault Near Penn Station

NEW YORK, NY—The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect linked to an assault incident that took place in front of 2 Pennsylvania Plaza. The assault occurred shortly after midnight on Tuesday, June 25, 2024.

A 65-year-old man was struck in the back of the head with a closed fist by an unknown assailant, causing him to fall to the ground. Emergency Medical Services quickly responded to the scene and transported the victim to NYC Health and Hospital/Bellevue for treatment of his injuries.

The assailant fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward to help identify and locate the suspect involved in this violent act.
