Philadelphia Police Seek Suspect in Aggravated Assault at Rita’s

PHILADELPHIA, PA—The Philadelphia Police Department’s Northwest Detective Division is actively searching for a suspect involved in an aggravated assault incident that occurred on July 21, at approximately 6:00 PM. The assault took place at 6901 Stenton Avenue, outside a Rita’s Water Ice store.

According to the victim’s report, an altercation escalated when an unidentified black female suspect brandished a handgun during a confrontation in the line at Rita’s. Following the threat, the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle, heading down Stanton Avenue.

The suspect is described as a heavy-set black female, last seen wearing an orange shirt and blue shorts. She was driving a royal blue compact Mitsubishi SUV with an unknown Pennsylvania license plate at the time of the incident.

The Philadelphia Police urge anyone with information regarding this case to come forward to assist in the identification and apprehension of the suspect.
