Man Injured In Early Morning D.C. Shooting

Deputies are currently on scene at Linda Pedersen Park on Shoal Line Boulevard conducting an investigation into what appears to be a Suicide Attempt.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened just after midnight this morning in Northeast, D.C.

Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Perry Street at approximately 12:40 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a hospital, but his condition remains unknown.

Police are urging anyone with information about the shooting to contact them at (202) 727-9099 or text tips to 50411. A reward of up to $1,000 is available for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
