Fatal Bicyclist Collision Under Investigation in Ocean City

OCEAN CITY, MD – A tragic incident occurred in Ocean City this Sunday afternoon, involving a fatal collision between a vehicle and a bicyclist near the intersection of 14th Street and St. Louis Ave.

The victim, identified as 34-year-old Stephannie Holston of Ocean City, was riding a class two e-bike southbound in the bicycle lane on St. Louis Ave when a vehicle, also traveling southbound, struck her while turning west onto 14th Street.

Despite immediate lifesaving efforts by Ocean City EMS personnel, Holston was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Ocean City Traffic Safety Unit is conducting an investigation to determine the specifics of the accident. Authorities have confirmed that alcohol was not a factor for the driver of the vehicle.
