Queen City Street Fair Returns to Plainfield for Second Year

PLAINFIELD, N.J., Aug. 17, 2024 — The Queen City Street Fair, a growing community favorite, returns today from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on North Avenue and Gavett Place in Plainfield. The event, which began in June 2023 with approximately 2,000 attendees, has quickly become a beloved annual tradition.

The fair, held on the third Saturday of August, transforms the streets into a lively carnival. Attendees can enjoy a variety of thrilling rides, including the Rockstar and Ferris wheel, along with bouncy houses and classic carnival games. The festive atmosphere is further enhanced by face painters, cartoonists, and balloon artists.

A wide selection of food trucks will be on-site, offering diverse cuisines ranging from Jamaican and American to Puerto Rican and Cajun. Options include soul food, seafood, fresh juices, and fruit bowls.

As night falls, live DJs will spin an eclectic mix of Soca, Reggaeton, R&B, Hip Hop, House Music, and more, providing the soundtrack for an unforgettable evening. The Queen City Street Fair invites the entire community to join in the celebration and create lasting memories.
