Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office Hosts Satellite Firearm Permit Event in South Park Township

SOUTH PARK TOWNSHIP, Pa. — The Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office is currently holding a satellite event for Pennsylvania License to Carry a Firearm (LTCF) permits at the South Park Township Community Center. The event, which runs until 3 p.m. today, offers residents the opportunity to apply for or renew their firearm permits without having to travel to the courthouse in downtown Pittsburgh.

Participants are required to bring a completed application, a valid Pennsylvania ID, and $20 in cash to process their permits. According to the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office, this initiative is part of Sheriff Kraus’s ongoing efforts to make government services more accessible to the community, particularly for those who have difficulty reaching the courthouse during standard business hours.

“We’re grateful to the officials in South Park Township for their support and the use of the community center,” the Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. This event is one of several held throughout the county to ensure residents have convenient access to essential services.
