TINTON FALLS, N.J. — Tinton Avenue, which was closed earlier this morning following a motor vehicle accident, has reopened to traffic, according to the Tinton Falls Police Department. The road had been closed between the Tinton Falls Firehouse and Wayside Road while crews worked to address the incident.

The closure affected residents living in the Spring Meadow and Branford Circle areas, who were given access to their homes from the firehouse side of the closure. Most residents on Tinton Avenue within the affected area were also able to access their homes during the closure.

As of 9:30 a.m., Tinton Avenue has been reopened. The police are advising motorists to proceed with caution as repair work in the area is expected to continue for several hours.
