High Tides Force Closures of Several Delaware Surf Fishing Beaches

Dover, DE — Delaware Natural Resources Police announced the temporary closure of multiple surf fishing beaches due to extreme high tides. Affected beaches are currently closed and will be monitored throughout the day for potential reopening later.

At Cape Henlopen State Park, Beach Plum, Point Beach, Navy Beach, and Herring Point are all closed. Gordons Beach remains open.

In Delaware Seashore State Park, 3Rs and Key Box beaches are open, along with the North End of Faithful Steward Beach. However, Conquest Beach is closed.

Fenwick Island State Park has closed all surf fishing areas.

Visitors are advised to check individual state park Facebook pages for the latest updates on beach openings and closures.
